Dr. Elise Ginsburg
Dr. Ginsburg is a Board Certified Clinical Neuropsychologist who as has practiced in Canada and the United States as a staff member at hospitals and government agencies, and in private practice, with an emphasis on psychological and neuropsychological assessments for children, adolescents and adults. Additionally, she has provided cognitive rehabilitation and therapy, based on best practice standards, to individuals and families coping with the consequences of acquired brain injury.
Her cognitive rehabilitation work aims to improve cognitive function and/or accommodate challenges stemming from brain injury, e.g., attention, executive function, and memory strategy training. Dr. Ginsburg has worked with the Acquired Brain Injury Team at the Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre and in private practice in Boulder, Colorado and Calgary, Canada.

Dr. Ginsburg Provides
• Cognitive, Psychological, and Neuropsychological Assessments, including clarifying diagnoses, e.g., differentiating between psychiatric disorders and brain dysfunction/injury.

In addition to her Doctorate from the University of Calgary (1996), Dr. Ginsburg completed a post-doctorate in Clinical Neuropsychology from Fielding Graduate University, under the supervision of Dr. Arnold Purisch, one of the authors of the seminal Luria Nebraska method of neuropsychological assessment.
Dr. Ginsburg hails from Connecticut, and has lived for many years in several difference provinces in Canada. Her interests are varied, spanning from physical fitness to traveling to art/photography/reading.
Dr. Ginsburg has successfully audited the Level 1 Physicians Accreditation Program through Division 22 of the American Psychological Association and provides psychological and neuropsychological assessments for the Department of Labor and Employment in the Division of Worker’s Compensation.
She holds contracts with Division of Youth Corrections, Boulder County Department of Health and Human Services, and Jefferson County Human Services, Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, and is affiliated with Avista Adventist Hospital.
